Chesapeake Bay

If you’re looking for a more relaxed day at the beach, head on over to the
beautiful shores of the Chesapeake Bay. All the same great beach activities are
available, but here you’ll find calmer, more gentler waves. Plus, you can enjoy
other great outdoor adventure activities at nearby
First Landing State Park.
From fishing to hiking, biking and kayaking, this state park offers tons of
rooms to explore, get up close and personal with wildlife as well as view unique
flora and fauna. There are also plenty of great shops, restaurants and other
attractions located on the nearby Shore Drive.
Sandbridge

Located at the southern end of Virginia's coastline, Sandbridge is a more
secluded beach offering 5 miles of beautiful dune lined beaches. Like the
Chesapeake Bay region, Sandbridge also offers traditional beach activities in a
more subdued setting as well as great explorations as nearby
Back Bay National
Wildlife Refuge
or
False Cape State Park – both of which offer guided tours into
the beautiful marsh-land setting.
Resort Beach

Need we say more about the Virginia Beach resort area – wide sandy beaches, an
amazing 3-mile long concrete boardwalk perfect for biking, walking or
roller-bladding, specialty shows, mouth-watering restaurants, and of course, all
the free live entertainment you can handle along
Beach StreetUSA. This is the
heart of the Virginia Beach oceanfront and the spot to go for non-stop family
fun.
