Don't Be Fooled By What You Are Seeing

I'm confused...over this weekend I went in a Target and came across aisle after aisle of back to school specials and school supplies, but very little on outdoor summer fun. I stopped and asked a Sales Associate and they said that they have gotten rid of all their summer merchandise to make way for Fall. Can you believe it - summer's not over! Those of us that live at the Beach know that now is the best time to vacation at the Beach...the water is at its warmest temperature, the events are in full swing, the cool coastal breezes make you forget about the dog days of summer. So as the subject line says, don't be fooled into thinking that summer is (almost) over...it's prime time summer season and the perfect time to head to the Beach!

Finally, the Rest of the Nation Knows What We Know

Sherman's Travel, a nationally recognized travel guide magazine, just recently ranked Virginia Beach's Oceanfront Boardwalk as one of the "Top 10 Boardwalks in America." Stating that "Virginia Beach's 3-mile long boardwalk is as traditional as it gets", they go on to list all the great free entertainment that is available all summer long. In fact, through Beachstreet USA, when you add up all the individual entertainers, magicians and musicians that perform nightly on the Boardwalk, there are over 1,000 acts throughout the summer. This is in addition to the other major events held at the Beach. Virginia Beach's ranking puts it right beside some other big name destinations such as Atlantic City, Coney Island, Mission Beach and Santa Cruz just to name a few.
